Jan 31, 2013 Anyone having trouble formatting hyperlinks/followed hyperlinks on PPT 2011? I formatted the hyperlinks but the change does not seem to happen. Additionally When I open on PPT 2011 a document with hyperlinks created on PPT 2008 the hyperlinks do not change when followed, as they used to do in the old application. Any thoughts/advise? Related to this question without an answer, I'm using the latest PowerPoint for Mac (14.2.3) but when I save a PPTX as a PDF the links are gone. Is there some trick to getting them to remain?
Any questions, feel free to message. Hope this helps someone Deamer. Try the PDF export of OpenOffice. MS Office for Mac is quite bad with pdfs (and other stuff) I had some font issues which OpenOffice solved.
Its a Google Drive App. 4) Open with OpenAsPDF app. 5) Use the Save As dialogue or the floppy disk icon (hah - anyone remember those?) to Save back to your computer.
Option B Go to the free file conversion web site. Follow their four-step process to upload and convert your Word 2011 document to pdf. Note: url addresses in the Word 2011 doc do become hyperlinks in the resultant PDF. IMO, what we experience is a Microsoft problem NOT Apple nor Adobe. (Apple Pages retain hyperlinks.) You can help get the attention of Microsoft about this issue.
While iTunes is the default media player for Macintosh computers, you can also change the configuration settings on your computer so that a different Apple program or third-party program automatically opens your music and videos. OK, I'm not really sure what player the movie is opening in (WMP or Quick Time) because clicking on the movie file in a website does not open an application, it just plays. However, the look of QT is distinctive, and now all movies are looking like that. Yeah I saw that I can change the default player for single files, but I didnt think about applying it to all. I suppose that will work as a temporary fix, but I cant believe that there isnt a way to change the default application. Changing default video player for all video mac.
This kind of URL works only for a single-user account. If you move the document, workbook, or presentation to another computer, the hyperlink won’t work. Use this kind of link only if you know your link will never have to work on another computer. • Relative: A relative link contains only the filename of content that is linked within the same folder (at the same directory level) as the document, workbook, or presentation before you make the link. If you copy the folder itself that contains the document, workbook, or presentation file that also contains the content file, you can put the copy of the entire folder onto any media such as a flash drive, CD, or DVD, and the link will work on any computer.
You can even choose a picture file as the movie’s poster frame, and you can pause and scrub through movies during a slideshow, a feature that was missing from PowerPoint 2008. Annoyingly, though, you still can’t trim movies by adjusting their starting and ending points, nor can you add sounds that play across a specific set of slides. Animation and transitions As in PowerPoint 2008, you define the timing, duration, and order of animations by using the Custom Animation tab in the Toolbox. PowerPoint 2011 fills a huge gap in the previous version’s animation repertoire by adding motion paths, which let you move objects along tracks that are predefined or that you draw from scratch. PowerPoint’s path animation tools exceed Keynote’s in some respects (PowerPoint’s paths are much easier to define and edit) and bring PowerPoint 2011 closer to PowerPoint 2010 for Windows.

Works for me. I found an EASY solution! Download chimera tool for mac. (free) I can't believe it. Trial version of final cut pro. I had been having the same problems, too, but I didn't want to give up. I tried Google Drive.
When you do this on a Windows system, you would use Acrobat's PDFMaker macro installed with certain applications to export PDF with links. Unfortunately, there is no PDFMaker on the Mac, so you get the same results as you wold on a PC when you would print to the 'Adobe PDF' printer - no interactive features. So, unfortunately you are out of luck. If you have access to Acrobat on Windows, you can take your PPT document to such a Windows system and convert it there, and then copy it back to your Mac for any other work you have to do in Acrobat.

By One of the most useful tools in all of Office 2011 for mac is the ability to make hyperlinks to just about anywhere. You can link to any file on your computer; these files are local files. To link to local files, you can use two kinds of links: • Absolute: This kind of link contains the entire file path to your content. The URL starts with file://localhost/Users/ and links to a file anywhere on your computer.
