Office 2016 Keep asking for activation. Every time I open office 2016 for mac, such as word. The app will crash in 5 minutes. Fix to Office 365 2016 for Mac keeps asking to be activated I recently updated to Office 2016 v.15.2 and now all my Office programmes (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) keep requesting I activate them, every time I restart a programme.

Hi, I am having issue with OUTLOOK for mac 2016. It keep on asking me for login and password sometimes every minute and some times every 10 minutes whole day.
MS has really upgraded that portal - not too long ago MS updated the People (Contacts) app and over the weekend I found that the People and Accounts native apps both have iCloud as an option for bringing in Contacts now along with Mail - AND there's actually some backend changes that can be made to synching of items in an iCloud account. It's not just about IMAP mail in Win 10 now. There's a bit more. I have two iCloud accounts, one I use for my personal stuff and my old legacy one that my purchases are tied to.

I had the same problem and tried the clean boot but that didn't help. Every time I opened an MS Office application it would ask for the activation code again.
Posted: Today at 1:00 PM by tnielsen Thanks How are you guys disabling this for new computers that have never had office on them? The plist isn't there so it won't write. Since the apps are sandbox, the plist never shows up. Free audio recorder for mac. I'm thinking I'm missing something. Whether or not the plist is present doesn't prevent the defaults write command from taking place.
• Coming from BPOS (and possibly other Exchange systems) follow the instructions at to remove registry entries on clients that stubbornly don't update their Autodiscover. • Missing Updates: • Manually push out the updates using the instructions at. SCCM, WSUS and other configuration management systems will work just fine also. There are download links of the bits for each package. Make sure you get at least these three: • Microsoft Online Services Sign-In Assistant (IDCRL7) • Microsoft Office 2010 Update (KB2435954) – ALSO change the registry key noted in the link • Microsoft Outlook 2010 Update (KB2597011) • Outlook Issues: • Uncheck “Always prompt for logon credentials” in Outlook (see for details) • Recreate your Outlook profile - good steps at • If Outlook discovers the wrong (old) Exchange system you have problems. Use “outlook /rpcdiag” to ensure Outlook is connecting to Office 365. You can also control-right-click on your Outlook icon in your system tray and choose the option for “Connection Status.” You should see connections to the cloud-based e-mail servers, not legacy servers.
But you must use the Styles pane, which wastes a lot of onscreen real estate (especially when working with documents side by side, even on a 27-inch monitor), yet does nothing to improve access to styles and other formatting. For the record, I'm not a fan of Apple's style drawer in iWork, either. How I wish I could get the Office 2003 style formatting bars back in Office 2016: It's both easier to use and much more space-efficient.
I would suggest you uninstall Office 2016 manually: Then try reinstalling it again. Feel free to let me know if any of the suggestions are helpful to you.
